Eligibility Requirements for New Members of the Boat and Canoe Club
To join one of the American Legion Posts (see the Member Organizations Page) - You must be a male or female veteran of the United States Armed Forces with a DD-214 discharge (other than a Bad Conduct), and you served between these dates:
12/7/41 to 10/31/46
6/25/50 to 11/31/55
2/28/61 to 5/7/75
8/24/82 to 7/31/84
12/20/89 to 1/31/90
8/20/90 to (date to be determined)
Bring the DD-214 discharge form to the club office, fill out the required paper work, and pay dues for one year ($35) - make check payable to the organization you are joining.
To join one of the American Legion Auxiliaries - female applicants must be the Wife - Mother - Sister - Daughter - Grand Daughter - Grand Mother - Great Grand Mother - or Step Relative of an eligible veteran (living or deceased), and produce the same proof of service of that veteran, same paper work, and same dues.
To join the Sons of The American Legion Squadron - male applicants must be the son or grandson of an eligible veteran (living or deceased), and produce the same proof of service of that veteran, same paper work, and same dues.
